Anecdotal or real evidence?

This week a short anecdotal yet inspiring video.



However, students referred me to this and this video. So is it music or merely sound that stops the baby from crying? Time for a real experiment...

hmm, I think it probably depends a lot what the baby associates with the respective sound (conditioning). The hairdryer might work for one but not the other, the same might be true for the song in your video
